KONE’s EcoMod escalator, which is a fullreplacement product created for the existing building market, was the perfect solution for this busy New York City Post Office. By retaining the existing trusses with minor modifications, the Morgan facility had 12 new escalators installed without removing any outside walls of the
building, nor changing the inside building structure.

The escalators were installed one pair at a time with the entire project being completed in 13 months, five months ahead of the original schedule.
