American investment fund company Tweedy Browne Company LLC has notified the Financial Supervision Authority of Finland on 27 September, 1999, and KONE Corporation on 1 October, 1999, that its holdings of KONE Corporation shares exceeded 5 percent as of 1 April, 1999. Holdings by Tweedy Browne Company LLC of KONE Corporation shares as of April 1, 1999, were 428,543 publicly-quoted class B shares. The share capital of KONE Corporation is FIM 335.9 million and the total number of shares is 6,718,180, of which 5,556,533 class B shares and 1,161,647 class A shares assigned ten times higher voting power. Holdings of Tweedy Browne Company LLC as of 1 April, 1999, represented a 6.38 percent share of KONE Corporation's share capital. Holdings are held in the name of a Finnish Nominee. If the holdings were registered in the name of the shareholder, they would represent an approximate voting power of 2.5 percent.
