KONE’s involvement in official WDC Helsinki 2012 projects

WDC Helsinki 2012 year provides KONE an excellent platform for international networking and collaboration, especially with architects and designers. To enable more networking and idea-sharing, KONE chose to get especially involved in three official WDC Helsinki 2012 projects: Cities for All conference,  EASA Wastelands and Docomomo conference and exhibition. These events were successfully completed during spring and summer 2012.

In addition to these three projects, KONE was also one of the main partners of the HI Design exhibition which took over the Cable Factory for the summer months. The exhibition closed in early September and had almost 21,000 visitors during its opening time.

Another exciting WDC project for KONE is the currently ongoing Muru pops down in Tytyri pop down restaurant. Together wih Muru restaurant and WDCH 2012 organization and some other WDC partner companies KONE is running a unique restaurant down in the Tytyri mine, in Lohja city's Tytyrisali. The restaurant is accessed with KONE's test elevators, and has received wide media coverage globally already. The restaurant will remain open until 29th September 2012.
