Every year we offer students and recent graduates opportunities to work and develop with interesting projects around the world. Most KONE internships require studies in business, engineering, information technology or law but there are also positions for students from other disciplines.
Prerequisites for internships
KONE International Trainee Program (ITP) is for university students who are at least halfway through their studies and for recent graduates. Good English language skills are essential for an International Trainee. In many cases you should also be familiar with the language of the host country. We want to offer you international working experience so you should apply for positions outside of your native country. In the program you will face interesting challenges and become acquainted with KONE as a global company. ITP is also an excellent stepping-stone to a career with KONE.
Practical arrangements
Internships last from three to six months, and usually begin between April and June. If you are selected for the ITP, we cover your round-trip travel costs to the host country and pay a trainee salary. The local KONE unit will help arrange your accommodations and will assign a contact person to whom you can turn for support. It will be your responsibility to obtain personal insurance as well as residence and work permits (if applicable) before departure.
Application period for ITP 2013 is now over and the next one will start in early January 2014. In the meanwhile you can follow us in our International Trainee Program fan page in Facebook. To find other opportunities to work at KONE please review our current job openings at www.kone.com/jobs.
