KONE has chosen to report using the Global ReportingInitiative (GRI) guidelines in order to facilitate easier comparison of our performance with other companies and to streamline our own corporate responsibilityreporting efforts. KONE has published a CorporateResponsibility Report annually since 2008. The previous report was published in June 2012. The reports follow GRI (G3) reporting guidelines as far as they are applicable.
The 2011 report covers economic, social, and environmental responsibility. Based on our own assessment, we have followed the B Application Level of the guidelines. This Application Level has been checked by a third party, PricewaterhouseCoopers Oy. The reporting period corresponds with the calendar year and with KONE’s financial year of January 1–December 31, 2011.
