Features & options

The KONE sliding door operator is equipped with KONE smart door technology. The intelligent control system uses a state-of-the art microprocessor control system with self-learning fuzzy logic technology and continuously runs self-checking and correcting diagnostics on the door system. The operator is simple to programme and can be easily adjusted to suit the environment’s people flow needs.

Single and double sliding doors offered for both internal and external environments.
Operation selection in manual operated activators, motion detectors, safety sensors, remote control, entrance control system, and electronic program switch with LED-display (surface mounted or built in).
Night switch (optional) - for opening the door a single time by means of a burglar resistant lock outside the building and a push button inside the building. After closing of the door the lock will automatically lock the door, provided a electrical lock is installed.
Locking (optional) - in head solenoid locking for security and access control.
Power failure - all of the programmed values remain in the computers memory, if the door is not locked the door can be operated manually.

Safety features

Standard safety features include reverse opening if an obstruction is in the way of the door opening or closing cycle.

Self monitoring computer: includes, among other functions, programmable opening/closing speed, opening time, opening width, several timing functions, manual learning function and obstacle safety.

Motion detectors and safety sensors: including push buttons, switches, 1 and 2 way radar
detectors, infrared motion detectors and safety sensors, photo cells. Connection for max. 4 tested sensors, with all safety devices for stopping the leaf movement tested in accordance with AS 5007.

Fire alarm connection: doors will drive themselves open and remain open in the event of a fire alarm.

Self monitoring system for the battery back up: again doors will drive themselves open and remain open if the battery condition falls below the required level or in the event of a mains power failure.

Obstacle safety: Highly sensitive reverse switch, standard factory programming in control unit.

Photo cell safety: Monitored and tested, prior to every door closing cycle. Mounted in the door
opening, the control unit tests on every door cycle the function of the photo cells.

Manual emergency release (optional): Manually operated release for emergency situations and
to release a locked electrical lock during a power failure. Installation in or outside the cover.

Door weight: Single leaf maximum of 180 kg., double leaf maximum of 2 x 120 kg.

Control unit: Power supply for peripheral equipment 12 Vdc or 24 Vdc, maximum 800 mA

Locks: 12 Vdc or 24 Vdc, maximum of 2 x 750 mA, mono- or bi stable.

Width x Height: 185 x 175 mm. (including under part of the cover)

Material rail: aluminium unanodized.

Max. Opening width: Single slide 1500mm, bi parting 3000mm
