KONE utilizes local labour, some local parts and local consumable items with global sourcing for the majority of the product. Yes, KONE equipment is designed and built for the lift shaft sizes and tolerances as specified on our drawings. Failure to build within these tolerances may mean a change in equipment or increase in installation duration. Yes, the lifting hooks remain in position to facilitate future maintenance requirements. Yes, 3 Phase power is required before construction on the Elevator can begin. No, KONE's installation process requires the lift shaft and roof to be 100% completed. The lift is installed through the bottom floor door entry and is built in situ. No, you will need to finish up to our elevator door frames once they are installed and aligned. No, you will need to finish up to our frames once they are installed and aligned. Kone Monospace provides fully automatic sliding doors. Simply push the call button, the lift will arrive open the doors for a preset time (adjustable) then close the doors. Smooth and quiet.
Manual swing doors need to be pulled open against the force of a hydraulic door closer mechanism, held open whilst you enter the lift and closes as you release the pressure on the door. Over time the door closer wears and as the closer provides pressure to keep the door shut can cause poor connections with the lift door safety locking switches. Kone Monospace requires 3 phase 415v power. By spreading the power over 3 phases we can provide more consistant and reliable control of the elevator motor for super smooth acceleration and decceleration exact leveling.
Kone electric motors generally operate with 1/3 the power of an equivilent hydraulic lift. Kone Monospace is designed to comply with AS1735.2 with EN81 component and as such has no limit to the height the lift can operate.
Most homelift specific elevator contractors are limited to operate up to 12m as they are only designed to comply with more basic regulations AS1735.18. Kone Monospace elevator is fully balanced with the lifting ropes running under the elevator to minimise stress on your structure and reduce wear on the equipment.
A cantilever system has all the equipment mounted on one structurally engineered wall, as the lift is hanging off one wall the guides wear and can cause hydraulic systems to become misaligned and wearing seals can become a long term problem. If roller guides are used they commonly get a flatspot where the lift is parked causing a rough ride in your lift. The elevator is design is durable, solid & constructed for long life it has a variety of safety and operational equipment attached under the floor of the elevator and above the elevator ceiling to fully comply with relevant codes for lifts travelling at the speed of 1m/sec. (these features and requirements can be demonstrated by our sales team) To get Elevator CAD drawings, the easiest way is to use our solution specifier tool called "Toolbox" if you are looking for a residential mid-rise elevators. For other type of solutions, CAD drawings are usually on each product page. You can contact us by phone, email, or fax. Contact information can be found under our Contact page. The elevator shaft contains electrical equipment which is not waterproof. When this equipment is subject to moisture it can be hazardous and will affect the performance of the equipment in the future if not immediately. The lift shaft can be constructed from any materials that can withstand the loads applied by the elevator and meet local building code requirements. For example in situ concrete, prefabricated concrete, core filled reinforced concrete blocks, steel and glass towers even timber construction has been used in HOMELIFTS not requiring fire rating. |
