Occupational health and safety

Modern trends in Occupational Health and Safety Legislation are placing ever more significant and ongoing obligations on those who have control of commercial premises and the plant and equipment installed in these premises; such as elevators and escalators.

Your obligations …

Occupational Health and Safety Acts and Regulations place obligations on Owners to ensure Lifts (elevators, escalators or autowalks) operate in a condition that is safe and without risk to the health & safety of both the public and maintenance personnel.

Owners, as “controllers” of the premises and the Lifts are required to carry out a formal identification and assessment of the hazards and risks associated with the premises or the Lifts.

The OH&S Acts also require Owners to identify control measures to eliminate or reduce those risks.

How we can assist …
