The company has a Global Business Policy for Safety to ensure that all KONE business activities are organised in a globally harmonised and structured way to enable work to be conducted in a professional and safe manner. All KONE units are required to comply with the company’s safety policy, which defines, for example, the general principles of safety operations and includes safety training and methods as well as information about reporting. These safety regulations apply to all subcontractors.
KONE measures workplace safety by the industrial injury frequency rate (IIFR) and it has steadily improved over the recent years.
