To date, the two offices have raised over $12,000, more than doubling their donation from last year.
To raise funds, KONE employees hosted a variety of events over the past several months, including a Soup Luncheon and Silent Auction Fundraiser this December. They have also spent time sorting, assembling and marking the purchased toys to be distributed throughout the region.
“We are thrilled to bolster our giving this year, especially given the economic environment and the many children who would otherwise have a gift-free holiday,” said Vance Tang, EVP of the Americas. “This reinforces the community spirit and engagement from our many employees. It’s truly incredible to imagine that together we will light up the day for over 1,200 children on Christmas morning.”
Toys for Tots seeks to help less fortunate children throughout the United States experience the joy of Christmas and to unite all members of local communities in a common cause for three months each year during the annual toy collection and distribution campaign. KONE has participated in the program for the past eight years.
