Beijing Capital Airport ranked KONE as the company to manage 192 vertical transportation units due to KONE’s focus on the creation of a total solution for the design. Public transport connections will be as convenient as possible, with short walking distances, few level changes and minimized transfer times. The 171 elevators, 13 escalators, and eight autowalks will be top-of-the-line KONE products in harmony with the overall goals of the building. KONE delivery will include highly specialized equipment such as the world’s most powerful KONE machine-room-less elevators with a capacity of 5000 kg (11,000 lbs), and inclined autowalks with a rise of nearly 17 meters (56 ft).
