ISO 9001 certifi cation
ISO 9001 is a family of standards for quality management. Its requirements include procedures covering and monitoring all key processes; keeping accurate records; quality assurance; regular process review; and continual improvement. KONE has been granted ISO 9001 certifi cation by Lloyd’s Register Quality Assurance. This certifi cation covers design, manufacturing, sales, marketing, installation, maintenance and modernization of KONE elevators and escalators.
ISO 14001 certifi cation
At the end of March 2008, 90% of our production operations where certifi ed according to the ISO 14001 standard. ISO 14001 is a series of international framework for the development of an environmental management system that helps companies deal efficiently with environmentally related issues, such as selection of materials, installation procedures, oil usage reduction, and waste handling.
