The ability of Amman to adapt over the years has seen the city survive where others have fallen. Le Royal is no different in that sense. When owners of the five-star hotel decided to do a full upgrade with 32 completely new elevators, careful attention was paid to the environmental impact of the new project.

A DESTINATION IN ITSELF
With more than 2,000 guest rooms, Marriott World Center in Orlando is one of the biggest resorts in the world and has been attracting visitors for nearly three decades. Sprawling over 42,000 square meters of event space, restaurants, shops and recreational opportunities, the golf and spa resort is a premier venue – and one where elevator downtime can result in an unpleasant guest experience.
Amsterdam is renowned for its artistic heritage, and is now reinventing itself by transforming older buildings into iconic structures. A’DAM illustrates the city’s fine balance of fusion and technology.
OUTSTANDING DESIGN WITH A TWIST
The spiral of the Cayan Tower makes it a standout building, even in the astonishing skyline of Dubai. The residential skyscraper is the tallest in the world with a 90-degree twist.
MANHATTAN ON THE MAAS
The Rotterdam skyline has been transformed by a new, unique icon of green architecture coined the Vertical City.
DESIGN WITH A PURPOSE
The winner of two coveted tall building awards, Doha Tower is a striking example of visually stunning, yet functional design.
FIT FOR A KING
The famous Austrian composer Johann Strauss, the Younger made his debut here. Countless waltzes have been danced here. The Parkhotel Schönbrunn offers modern transit comfort embedded in a showpiece of tradition.
A DESERT PARADISE
Abu Dhabi, the capital of the United Arab Emirates, has invested in several major projects to transform itself into a tourist paradise. The Four Seasons Hotel is expanding and investing in new technologies to meet rising demand.
PLAIN SAILING IN SAUDI
Towering above Jeddah’s North Corniche, the Headquarters Business Park stands like the sail of a dhow that has traversed the Red Sea coast for centuries – a fitting and iconic landmark for Saudi Arabia’s second largest city.
THE RISE OF A SUPERTALL
Soaring to a height of more than one kilometer, Jeddah Tower will be the tallest building in the world when completed in 2019.
LE ROYAL GOES GREEN
Amman – capital of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan – is a city steeped in history. When construction on the Le Royal hotel was completed in 2002, it was ultra-modern, yet its tower-like structure sits comfortably in a metropolis whose history stretches back more than 3,000 years.
The Makkah Clock Royal Tower Hotel can only be described in superlatives: the tallest hotel, the largest indoor space (1.6 million square meters for the total project), and on the list of tallest buildings, it currently holds second place.
A FLOATING PALACE
All aboard. Sometimes the passenger experience on board is more memorable than the destination. Oasis of the Seas, the world’s largest floating hotel, packs the entertainment punch of a bustling metropolis.
RECORD-SETTING DESIGN IN DUBAI
Dubai never ceases to amaze. The prestigious Princess Tower, the tallest residential building in the world to date, is a world-class example of modern building design and construction.
RISING TO THE CHALLENGE
With its three cascading towers crowned by a connecting Sands Skypark, the multi-use resort defines the city’s skyline and offers an extraordinary experience for leisure and business travelers from all over the world.
A SKYLINE REDEFINED
Piercing the sky like a shard of glass, The Shard is putting new punctuation to an already famous cityscape. Standing at 310 meters, this landmark building is the tallest in Western Europe.
THE SKY’S THE LIMIT
Shanghai’s International Finance Center (IFC) is an architectural statement matching the city’s dramatic rise as an economic powerhouse. Customized KONE DoubleDeck elevators complement this marvel of modern engineering.
