KONE will provide the National Grand Theater in Beijing, for which 49 KONE 3000 MonoSpace® elevators had been ordered last spring, with 36 escalators and three additional elevators. KONE is the only supplier of vertical transportation equipment for this monumental project.
Guangzhou New Baiyun Airport will get 45 KONE elevators including 14 panoramic, 12 KONE 3000 TranSys™ and 19 KONE 3000 MonoSpace® elevators. When completed, the airport will be the largest in mainland China. Delivery is scheduled for handover in mid-2003.
The Shenzhen Branch has booked several large orders. Guandong Everbright Banking Group has ordered 90 KONE MonoSpace® elevators for Haoyuan Garden, one of the largest prestige residential projects in Dongguan. Also in Dongguan, KONE will supply 28 KONE 3000 MonoSpace® elevators for New Century Garden, another residential complex. Pengyun Plaza in Shenzhen has ordered 10 KONE 3000 MiniSpace™ elevators, 20 KONE ECO3000™ escalators and five KONE 3000 MonoSpace® elevators (including two scenic units).
