Stay on Corporate siteKONE has won an order to supply 41 elevators and four escalators for four Gate Towers in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. KONE will provide 11 KONE MonoSpace® Special platforms, 27 KONE MiniSpace™ elevators, three KONE TranSys™ freight elevators as well as four KONE TravelMaster™ escalators for this project.
The Gate Towers are part of the Gate District in SHAMS Abu Dhabi development and sit at the entrance of Al Reem Island. Towers 3, 4 and 5 are 65-storey buildings and tower 7 is a 22-storey building. The Gate Towers will have a stunning presence on the island’s skyline and they will be completed in the second half of 2012.

The architect and consultant for the project is the leading design company Khatib & Alami while the main contractor is the prestigious Arabian Construction Company. The project is managed by Hill International, one of the world’s largest construction and consulting firms.
