The KONE ReFresh™ car solution is designed to slot into the existing elevator support mechanism, which greatly reduces installation time. Its weight, including the new doors, is calculated to be within the range of the cabin it replaces, so no extra work needs to be done to the building or the elevator installation. This again saves time and costs, and avoids nuisance for the tenants.
KONE ReFresh has been designed to meet the EN81-80 safety norms. Automatic doors open at the touch of a button, so there’s no hassle when moving in or out of a cabin. An in-cabin two-way communications device puts passengers immediately in contact with a KONE service centre, in the unlikely event of a malfunction.
The standard Car Operating Panel meets current safety requirements, and its ergonomic call buttons are easy to operate. Ventilation apertures are included in the cabin design, complying with modern safety standards.
