Allen, Texas – KONE, Inc, one of the leading companies in the elevator and escalator industry, has moved its North American Supply and Technology organization to a facility in Allen, Texas, from McKinney, Texas.
The 24,263-square-foot facility is housed in the One Allen Center building inside the Allen Center Park and includes both office space and test laboratory. A nearby KONE facility, in Twin Creeks Business Center, will house the central tool facility that ships all necessary installation tools to job sites. Both sites were located and secured through close cooperation between KONE, Site Selection Group, and the Allen Economic Development Corporation.
“This new facility will provide KONE’s employees with a high quality work environment and quick access for our colleagues and visitors from around the world to many amenities,” said Jeff Montgomery, Director of Development-Product and Supply for the Americas. “By making this move, KONE is showing our commitment to our people and striving to increase productivity and cross-functional collaboration.”
This move concentrates KONE’s North American Supply and Technology operations into one location, which allows for more coordination of services to customers and clients. In addition to the supply and technology organization group, the facility at One Allen Center includes departments including product change management, logistics scheduling and planning, order engineering, finance, human resources and installation development operations.
