Case overview

 

Across Europe, thousands of buildings are being refurbished and modernized to accommodate more people, support evolving needs, and incorporate modern technology. Frankfurt’s Westend Gate is one such example.

 

Completed between 2015 and 2017, the project included a full elevator modernization and the integration of a range of tailored solutions. The result was a safer, more efficient, and more seamless experience for both hotel guests and office tenants.

    Building entrance doors were refurbished, and KONE Access was integrated with the elevator system to enhance security and improve building-wide efficiency.

    KONE's Destination Control system was installed to optimize passenger journeys by directing users to the most efficient elevators, helping reduce congestion during peak traffic periods.

    Two elevators were extended to reach the underground parking levels, expanding the building's service offering.
