Stay on Corporate siteThai Lift Industries Plc., KONE's exclusive distributor and licensee in Thailand, has been awarded the contract to supply 20 elevators and 26 escalators to Bobae Tower 2 in Bangkok.
Bobae Tower 2 is a mixed-use complex with three 29-story residential towers sitting atop a commercial podium. Like its well-known sister building, the original Bobae Tower, Bobae Tower 2's commercial tenants will be garment wholesalers. Prom Maharas Real Estate Co. expects the commercial section to be ready for occupation by the end of this year and the residential towers at the end of 2003. The 26 KONE ECO3000™ escalators will be supplied by our Kunshan Factory in China while the 20 KONE MiniSpace™ elevators will be made in the Thai Lift factory using major components from Finland.
In a separate development, Thai Lift has booked an order to supply the vertical transportation equipment for the new Charoen Krung Hospital, a 24-story hospital building owned by the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA). The contract calls for the delivery of 13 KONE MiniSpace™ bed elevators, eight KONE ECO3000™ escalators and six dumbwaiters. The project, to be carried out by main contractor Siam Kornkij, is scheduled for completion in mid-2003.
