Change in the KONE Executive Board

Max Alfthan has decided to step down from his role as Executive Vice President responsible for Marketing and Communications at KONE as of 31 March 2020 to focus on non-executive and advisory duties. Following this date, he will continue to serve the company as a Senior Advisor for strategic projects until February 2021.

Max Alfthan has served as Executive Vice President responsible for Marketing and Communications and as a member of KONE's Executive Board since November 2014.

The search for his successor has started. Susanne Skippari, Executive Vice President, Human Resources, has been named interim leader for Marketing and Communications in addition to her current role as of April 2020.

"I would like to thank Max for all of his contributions as a member of the Executive Board over the past five years. During this time, KONE's marketing and customer engagement has been significantly strengthened, which can be seen from our customer feedback, growth and market share gains. I look forward to having Max contribute to strategic projects for KONE going forward" says Henrik Ehrnrooth, President and CEO of KONE.
