KONE appoints Karla Lindahl as Executive Vice President for the South Europe and Mediterranean region and member of the Executive Board
Karla Lindahl has been appointed Executive Vice President, responsible for the South Europe and Mediterranean region and member of the Executive Board as of 1 April, 2022. She will report to Henrik Ehrnrooth, President and CEO of KONE Corporation. Karla succeeds Thomas Hinnerskov who will leave KONE for a position outside the company, as previously announced.
Karla joined KONE in 2004 and has most recently held the role of Managing Director for Finland and the Baltics. During her 18 years at KONE, she has held several key leadership positions within the company, including being responsible for KONE's global strategy development. She has a Master of Laws degree from the University of Helsinki and a Master of Arts (EC Competition Law) degree from King's College, London.

As of 1 April, 2022, Samer Halabi, currently Executive Vice President for the Asia-Pacific region excluding China, will also assume the responsibility for the Middle East and Africa region. This change has no impact on external financial reporting.
