KONE Corporation, a global leader in elevator and escalator industry, has signed an agreement with NCC Sweden AB to work as a subcontractor and supply a suite of PeopleFlow® solutions including 11 KONE escalators and 6 KONE elevators for the new Hagastaden metro station in Stockholm, Sweden. NCC Sweden AB is the main contractor for the new station.
Hagastaden will be a vital inner urban area with 6,000 new dwellings and 50,000 workplaces in Stockholm and Solna. The area broadens Stockholm's urban core naturally while at the same time merging Stockholm with Solna. Hagastaden, today the hub of the Stockholm region's life science cluster, will be developed to form a new urban district with housing, retail, culture and parks.
KONE's delivery includes 4 KONE MonoSpace® 700 DX elevators, 2 KONE MiniSpace DX inclined elevators and 11 KONE TransitMaster™ escalators.

NCC Sweden AB have been commissioned by Region Stockholm to build the new station Hagastaden.
The project is expected to be fully completed in 2028.
KONE booked the order in
the fourth quarter of 2022.
