Stay on Corporate siteKONE has won an order to supply 93 elevators for the Jaber Al Ahmad Al Jaber Al Sabah Hospital project in South Surra, Kuwait. KONE will provide 25 KONE MonoSpace® special elevators, and 68 KONE MiniSpace™ elevators for this remarkable project.
Developed by the Kuwait Ministry of Public Works, the project will be the largest medical center in the State of Kuwait and the Middle East region, providing the highest quality of health care to 600,000 people in the area. The architect for the project is the leading design firm Langdon Wilson International in cooperation with local Kuwait firm Gulf Consult. The main contractor is the prominent Arab Contractors.

The new medical development includes an eleven-story hospital, two-story dental building and four-story residential building for nursing staff. Offering a high standard of medical treatment in the South Surra area, the luxurious hospital will also include an auditorium and conference rooms to advance medical education, a public atrium, lounges, roof gardens, cafeterias, gift shops, and prayer rooms. The estimated time of completing the construction is at the end of 2013.
The order was booked in Q4 of 2010.
