Our approach

We are a committed participant of the UN Global Compact, aligning our business with its principles on human rights, labor, environment, and anti-corruption. We believe that trust is earned through action.

That’s why we are committed to:

  • Upholding the highest ethical standards through clear compliance rules and a culture of accountability.
  • Ensuring respect for human rights across our own operations and supply chain.
  • Strengthening transparency by measuring and reporting on our progress.
  • Building ethical and sustainable relationships by setting clear expectations for our suppliers and distributors.

Strong ethical foundation

Our actions

To ensure our business is built on a strong ethical foundation, we embed integrity, transparency, and responsibility into everything we do.

    Speak up culture

Speaking up and doing the right thing is at the heart of KONE’s culture. We build a supportive environment where employees are encouraged to speak up about compliance concerns confidently and without fear of retaliation, using our secure KONE Compliance Line.

    Anti-bribery and corruption measures

We uphold a strict zero-tolerance policy on bribery and corruption. We have established a comprehensive anti-bribery and corruption (ABC) program and published a dedicated policy to guide our employees in navigating risky ABC situations. As part of our ongoing efforts to strengthen our ethical culture, we have rolled out a global ABC training in 2025. We are also a member of an anti-bribery network led by the Ministry of Justice in Finland.
