Designed to resemble a phoenix in flight, Beijing Daxing International Airport combines striking architecture with passenger-focused design. Built to accommodate 45 million passengers annually, with a planned expansion to 100 million, the airport's efficient radial layout enables passengers to reach their gate within 30 minutes of entering the building and within eight minutes from the central core. Despite its enormous size, no gate sits more than 600 meters from the center of the terminal.
To bring the design to life, KONE worked closely with project stakeholders from the earliest stages, delivering solutions that keep people flow smooth and reliable throughout.
