Lee Garden One
Case overview
Located in Hong Kong’s Causeway Bay district, Lee Garden One is a premium destination offering first-class retail and office facilities. The building is home to fashion and lifestyle brands, hospitality and dining venues, and Grade A office space, making it a key destination for both businesses and visitors. In 2015, Lee Garden One underwent a renovation to enhance its interiors and further elevate the experience for tenants, shoppers, and guests.

Key requirements of the project
- Deliver tailor-made elevators with a unique design suited to one of the world’s highest-profile commercial districts
- Complete the project quickly to minimize disruption to offices and retailers
“To ensure the lifts would truly be a unique experience, we coordinated closely with the project’s interior designer for the decoration inside the elevator shaft as well as inside the car because some elements of the car were custom made for these special scenic elevators.”

Results of the collaboration
Tailor-made scenic elevators
KONE delivered three tailor-made glass elevators designed to complement the building’s mall and office interiors.
Design-led detailing
Almost all metallic parts were clad in bronze-colored stainless steel, while the hoisting machine was painted white to suit the surrounding design.
Close project coordination
KONE worked closely with the architect, interior designer, contractor, and luxury component suppliers to deliver the one-of-a-kind design.
Improved people flow
The tailor-made KONE MonoSpace® Special elevator solution improved people flow through the building.
