Save valuable construction time, every day

No building site runs perfectly to plan. What if you could shorten your construction schedule by weeks – or even months – reduce scheduling risks, and improve safety for your workers?

Typically, less than 30% of workers' time during construction adds direct value to the project, with vertical logistics being a major bottleneck for efficient and smooth workflows. KONE's solutions for improved construction logistics can help your project get delivered as smoothly as possible by making it easier, safer and faster to move people and materials.

Core benefits

Keep your project moving, from the ground up

  • Construction site worker in front of an elevator

    Improve jobsite experience

With vertical transportation inside the building, workers and materials can be moved more efficiently compared to external hoists – reducing waiting times, improving safety, and creating a more efficient construction site.

  • Construction site with moving workers

    Less waiting, more working

Optimize the flow of traffic on your site by moving workers and materials around the building more efficiently – complete with planning support to help you select the right solution.

  • Construction site worker looking at a tablet

    Remove everyday frustrations

Reduce downtime and prevent issues before they happen with AI-powered predictive maintenance available 24/7 – so your construction elevators stay operational and your workers keep moving without disruption.

  • Construction workers looking at a computer

Lifecycle value

Hassle-free installation from start to finish

Our job is to make your job easier. We make sure everything is in place for a smooth, trouble-free elevator installation process – working with you from rock-solid planning all the way through to handover, with no surprises.

  • illustration planning

    STEP 1

    Rock-solid planning

Getting everything done on time and on budget relies on rock-solid preparation. Long before we arrive on site we use digital planning techniques – including Building Information Modeling (BIM) – to prepare for the installation process. Every project has a dedicated, accredited project manager with solid experience of running similar projects.

  • illustration installation

    STEP 2

    Efficient installation

When it comes to installing your equipment, our goal is to keep everything tidy and efficient so that all personnel get their work done safely and on schedule. The KONE elevator installation process doesn't require scaffolding, which cuts costs and minimises disruption to other construction work on site. All installation technicians receive regular safety training and undergo safety audits.

  • illustration handover

    STEP 3

    Quality assurance and handover

Before your new elevator is handed over, we take every necessary measure to ensure you're taking delivery of a high-quality solution that will run as it should from day one – including testing the ride quality of every single elevator we install. KONE DX Class elevators are connectivity-ready with KONE 24/7 Connected Services available as standard, and every building gets a tailored maintenance plan.

Frequently asked questions

A construction hoist is a temporary mechanical lift used on job sites to move workers, tools, and materials vertically. Most commonly, they use a rack-and-pinion system – a motor-driven gear moves along a track attached to a mast tower, which is typically installed on the exterior of the building.

Unlike a standard external hoist, KONE JumpLift™ operates inside the building's own permanent elevator shaft. It is a self-climbing system – as the building grows taller, the elevator "jumps" upward, adding more available floors. It offers greater load capacity and faster speeds than traditional rack-and-pinion hoists, and because it's internal, it frees up valuable space around the building and allows the façade to be closed earlier.

KONE JumpLift™ has been proven to cut construction time by weeks or even months. In one documented project, it cut six months off the build schedule.

KONE SiteFlow is a digital construction logistics management tool that gives site managers real-time visibility and control over elevator and hoist operations, helping reduce worker waiting times and keep the site productive. When integrated with KONE JumpLift, it can expand elevator capacity by 15% and has been shown to reduce floor cycle times from 2.5 weeks to just 4 days on some projects.

Yes. Because KONE JumpLift™ operates inside the building's permanent shaft rather than on the exterior, it is not affected by weather conditions and can run continuously regardless of the conditions outside.

No. The KONE elevator installation process does not require scaffolding. This cuts costs and minimizes disruption to other construction work happening on site at the same time.
