KONE’s commitment to building sustainable cities and enabling inclusive growth, KONE India CSR, in partnership with Smile Foundation, inaugurated STEM Labs at two schools Sarvodaya Kanya Vidyalaya in Ashok Vihar and Wazirpur, in Delhi. STEM education is essential in preparing young minds for a rapidly evolving, technology-driven world, yet many public and low-resource schools lack access to quality, hands-on learning infrastructure. Addressing this gap, KONE CSR is strengthening school ecosystems by establishing experiential STEM Labs that promote curiosity, critical thinking, and problem-solving.The initiative focuses on bridging foundational learning gaps by integrating curriculum-aligned, activity-based learning with practical exposure. These labs enable students to understand concepts through experimentation, collaboration, and real-world application, moving beyond rote learning.

KONE India, in collaboration with Bharath School of Vertical Transportation as the training partner and MaFoi Foundation as the mobilizing partner, has initiated this flagship Skill Development program aimed at creating clear career pathways for young people from ITI and Diploma backgrounds.This program structured over six-month period will deliver six batches, the initiative will train 150 aspiring Installation Service Technicians. Beyond technical training, the program focuses on industry readiness, safety standards, hands-on exposure, and employability skills, equipping students to confidently transition into the workforce and build long-term careers in the vertical transportation sector.By bridging the gap between education and employment, the KONE Skill Development Centre seeks to uplift students from diverse socio-economic backgrounds, enhance their earning potential, and enable dignified, sustainable livelihoods—creating a lasting impact not just on individuals, but on their families and communities.

KONE India CSR supportS persons affected by spinal cord injuries and disabilities through a meaningful partnership with SoulFree Trust. Recently we have supported 20 NeoFly + NeoBolt mobility solutions and 30 Tailoring Machines to SoulFree’s beneficiaries who are Persons with Spinal Cord Injury (PwSCI)—enabling greater independence and livelihood opportunities.NeoFly + NeoBolt is an innovative mobility solution that transforms a wheelchair into a more powerful, comfortable, and independent mode of travel. It supports easier movement across longer distances and different terrains, helping beneficiaries regain confidence, freedom, and dignity in daily life. Along with this, the tailoring machines will open doors for skill-building and sustainable income generation, supporting self-reliance and long-term progress.
