KONE Replace Flex retains some original components but replaces all remaining parts to deliver the performance, safety, and reliability of a brand-new elevator.

Which components can be retained depends on the type and condition of your elevator. To determine the ideal solution, we conduct a site survey with you to understand your building, requirements, and unique needs.

Landing doors – doors located at each floor of a building that separate the elevator shaft from the hallway or lobby.
Frame – the rigid enclosure around the elevator landing door panels that supports the door mechanism and ensures proper alignment and safe operation.
Sill – the metal plate at the elevator entrance that helps guide door movement and supports people and items moving in or out.
Guide rails – rigid steel or aluminum components that ensure the car and counterweight move smoothly and safely by preventing swaying, tilting, or misalignment.

How does Replace Flex work?

A new elevator, installed faster with retained parts

Replace Flex keeps existing parts such as landing doors, sills, frames, guide rails, and counterweights, while replacing all outdated components to deliver the performance and safety of a brand-new elevator.

1. Planning

We carry out a detailed site survey to assess your existing elevators for safety risks and outdated parts. We then evaluate and define parts that can be kept to identify the best solution and streamline your project.
2. Safety

This involves the protection of the site and installing proper safety barricades. Additionally, alternative routes and traffic flow changes are implemented, and noisy work phases are scheduled for more suitable, less disruptive times.
3. Installation

We begin by removing all mechanical and electrical components at their end of life. The retained components are then checked and revised to support a smoother, less intrusive installation process. Finally, new components are provided, based on the latest technology and regulations, minimizing downtime and disruption to your building operations.
