KONE MonoSpace® DX Family

The KONE MonoSpace® DX is a family of high-performance, machine room-less elevators suitable for a wide variety of residential and commercial buildings. The range spans four models – the 300 DX, 500 DX ≤350, 500 DX >350, and 700 DX – covering everything from low-rise apartment buildings to tall commercial towers with demanding people-flow requirements. All models are suitable for both new construction projects and full elevator replacements.

Because all elevator components are housed within the shaft itself, there is no need for a separate machine room. This frees up valuable floor space that can be repurposed for amenities, rentable area, or other uses, giving architects and developers greater design flexibility. The compact, self-contained design also simplifies coordination during construction and supports consistent installation quality and safety across projects.

The MonoSpace® DX range is engineered to accelerate construction productivity. KONE supplies all necessary components as a complete system, and standardized processes reduce on-site coordination. For larger new-build projects, KONE JumpLift® technology can be combined with the MonoSpace® DX to give workers, tools, and materials early access to the building shaft, significantly reducing overall construction time and costs.

The entire MonoSpace® DX range is designed to reduce energy consumption across the elevator lifecycle. All models are engineered to meet ISO 25745 A-class energy performance standards. If equipped with regenerative drive, the technology can help optimize energy use during operation, while energy-efficient LED lighting consumes up to 80% less electricity than traditional lighting and requires less frequent replacement. A smart standby mode further reduces power use during low-traffic periods without affecting elevator availability – helping lower operating costs and supporting green building targets.

Every elevator in the MonoSpace® DX family is built with connectivity at its core. This enables digitally-powered predictive maintenance, real-time performance data, and remote monitoring capabilities that help reduce unplanned downtime and support faster, smarter decision-making. Connectivity also allows the elevators to interact seamlessly with intelligent robots – such as cleaning or delivery robots – opening the door to an expanded range of partner services and an enhanced building experience.
