Save valuable construction time every day

No construction project runs exactly according to plan. What if you could help keep your project on schedule, reduce scheduling risks, and improve site safety for your workforce?

Typically, a significant portion of workers' time during construction is spent on activities that do not directly contribute to project progress, with vertical transportation often acting as a bottleneck. KONE's construction-logistics solutions help make it easier, safer, and more efficient to move people and materials throughout the site, supporting smoother workflows and more efficient project delivery.

Core benefits

Keep your project moving, from the ground up

  • Construction site worker in front of an elevator

    Improve jobsite experience

With vertical transportation inside the building, workers and materials can move more efficiently than with external hoists. This can help reduce waiting times, support safer jobsite operations, and improve overall workflow efficiency during construction.

  • Construction site with moving workers

    Less waiting, more working

Help optimize the flow of people and materials throughout the building with efficient vertical transportation solutions. KONE also provides planning support to help you select an approach that aligns with your project's needs.

  • Construction site worker looking at a tablet

    Remove everyday frustrations

Help reduce downtime with AI-powered predictive maintenance and 24/7 monitoring. By identifying potential issues early, construction elevators can remain operational more consistently, helping workers stay productive and projects stay on track.

  • Construction workers looking at a computer

    Plan for project success

From technicians to project managers, KONE provides planning expertise, tools, and proven project processes to support efficient project execution and help teams work toward successful project outcomes.

Lifecycle value

Hassle-free installation from start to finish

Our goal is to make the elevator installation process as straightforward and predictable as possible. We work closely with you from planning through handover, helping address key project requirements and supporting a smooth installation experience throughout the project lifecycle.

  • illustration planning

    STEP 1

    Rock-solid planning

Successful project delivery starts with thorough preparation. Before installation begins, we use digital planning tools, including Building Information Modeling (BIM), to support project coordination and installation readiness. Every project is assigned a dedicated project manager with experience managing similar elevator installation projects.

  • illustration installation

    STEP 2

    Efficient installation

Our approach is designed to support a safe, organized, and efficient installation process while minimizing disruption to other activities on site. KONE's elevator installation process does not typically require scaffolding, which can help reduce costs and simplify coordination with other construction work. Installation technicians receive regular safety training and participate in ongoing safety assessments.

  • illustration handover

    STEP 3

    Quality assurance and handover

Before handover, we carry out a range of quality assurance measures, including ride-quality testing for every elevator installation. KONE DX Class elevators are connectivity-ready, with KONE 24/7 Connected Services available as standard. Each building also receives a maintenance plan tailored to its operational needs.

Frequently asked questions

A construction hoist is a temporary mechanical lift used on job sites to move workers, tools, and materials vertically. Most commonly, they use a rack-and-pinion system – a motor-driven gear moves along a track attached to a mast tower, which is typically installed on the exterior of the building.

Unlike a standard external hoist, KONE JumpLift™ operates inside the building's own permanent elevator shaft. It is a self-climbing system – as the building grows taller, the elevator "jumps" upward, adding more available floors. It offers greater load capacity and faster speeds than traditional rack-and-pinion hoists, and because it's internal, it frees up valuable space around the building and allows the façade to be closed earlier.

KONE JumpLift™ has been proven to cut construction time by weeks or even months. In one documented project, it cut six months off the build schedule.

KONE SiteFlow is a digital construction logistics management tool that gives site managers real-time visibility and control over elevator and hoist operations, helping reduce worker waiting times and keep the site productive. When integrated with KONE JumpLift, it can expand elevator capacity by 15% and has been shown to reduce floor cycle times from 2.5 weeks to just 4 days on some projects.

Yes. Because KONE JumpLift™ operates inside the building's permanent shaft rather than on the exterior, it is not affected by weather conditions and can run continuously regardless of the conditions outside.

No. The KONE elevator installation process does not require scaffolding. This cuts costs and minimizes disruption to other construction work happening on site at the same time.
