KONE history giveaway terms & conditions

KONE Corporation, Keilasatama 3, P.O. box 7, 02150 Espoo, Finland (hereafter referred to as “The Sponsor”)

KONE looks back on its history and will host a themed giveaway on Facebook. The giveaway is open from Thursday, September 7, 2023 12:00 noon EEST to Tuesday, September 12, 2023 12:00 noon EEST. The Sponsor will select three (3) winners at random who will each receive a prize that includes a pair of KONE-branded socks and a KONE-branded T-shirt.

Entrants must be at least 18 years of age and own all of the rights to the submitted comments to enter the giveaway. KONE's employees and its subsidiaries and affiliates (collectively the “Employees”), as well as members of the Employees' immediate family and/or those living in the same household of Employees are ineligible to participate in the giveaway. This giveaway is subject to federal, state, and local laws and regulations and void where prohibited by law.

Participation in the giveaway is voluntary and does not require the purchase of products or services or payment of any kind. The giveaway is open from Thursday, September 7, 2023 12:00 noon EEST to Tuesday, September 12, 2023 12:00 noon EEST. Eligible participants can enter the giveaway by commenting on the giveaway Facebook post. Comments submitted after the competition period shall not be taken into account. You can only enter the giveaway once. Anyone found to use multiple accounts to enter will be ineligible. The entry must not be inappropriate, hateful, or offensive or contain material that violates or infringes any rights of any other party or that is unlawful. As a participant, your entry must fully meet all giveaway requirements, as specified in these terms & conditions, in order to be eligible to win a prize. Incomplete entries or those that do not adhere to the terms & conditions or otherwise fraudulently submitted comments will be disqualified at The Sponsor’s sole discretion. The Sponsor is not liable for any technical or human error during the competition.

By entering this contest, the participant agrees to abide by the Sponsor’s terms & conditions and decisions, which are fully and unconditionally binding in all respects. The Sponsor reserves the right to refuse, withdraw, or disqualify any entry at any time at the Sponsor’s sole discretion. By entering this contest, the participant represents and warrants that they are eligible to participate based on eligibility requirements explained in the terms & conditions. The participant also agrees to accept the decisions of The Sponsor as final and binding as it relates to the content of this giveaway. By submitting an entry, the participant grants permission for The Sponsor to publish and use the participant’s entry (without the participant’s name) for purposes of advertising and trade without further compensation unless prohibited by law.

The Winners of the KONE history giveaway will each receive a prize that includes a pair of KONE-branded socks and a KONE-branded T-shirt. The total value of one prize is around 20€. The actual/appraised prize value may differ at the time the prize is awarded. The prizes shall be determined solely by The Sponsor. The prize cannot be exchanged for cash or other products or services. The Winners, upon acceptance of the prize, are solely responsible for all expenses related to the prize, including without limitation all taxes associated with the prizes received in their country of residence. The Winner shall not transfer assignment of the prize to others nor shall the Winner request the cash equivalent or prize substitution.

The Sponsor will select three (3) Winners by a random drawing among all entrants who have submitted a comment in accordance with the guidelines of the giveaway post. The Sponsor will select and announce the Winners in a comment on the giveaway post within three (3) days after the giveaway has closed and contact them on Facebook via a private message and the parties will agree on the delivery of the prize. The Sponsor reserves the right to arrange a new prize draw if the participant cannot be contacted or is not responsive to a request for further information or acceptance of the prizes for longer than a period of five (5) days from the time of message. The Sponsor is not responsible for nor shall have no liability for the Winner’s failure to receive notices due to email security settings that may cause notifications to be marked as spam or junk email. Nor shall The Sponsor be liable for the Winner’s provision of incorrect or otherwise non-functioning contact information. If the Winner 1) fails to claim the prize within five (5) days from the time the award notification was sent, 2) is found ineligible, or 3) does not complete and return an executed declaration and release within the specified timeframe, the prize may be forfeited and an alternate Winner may be selected.

The participants release The Sponsor from any liability with regard to participating in the competition or receiving the prize, including without limitation if the prize is lost in or during the delivery to the participant. The Sponsor is not liable for any damage or loss arising out of or in connection with the giveaway and your participation in the giveaway including (without limitation) any cancellation or postponement of the prizes.

The Sponsor reserves the right to change the terms & conditions.

The giveaway is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with Facebook.
