Sayali Kulkarni, quality lead at the KONE R&D unit in Pune, India, started her career as a system engineer and consultant, and got to be involved in multiple process transformations as well as agile coaching. Many of her career moves were unexpected, but turned out to be hugely enriching and enjoyable. Now working in quality assurance at KONE, Sayali finds joy in the continuous improvement of products, processes, and ways of working. Seeing the impact of her own work is also an important daily motivator.
“There are so many opportunities in tech, and not everything is coding,” explains Lulu Zhang, head of Digital Enabling Platforms at KONE IT. During almost two decades in the IT sector, Lulu has taken the plunge into new waters many times. Along the way she’s witnessed the growing numbers of women in the tech field, and she finds fulfilment in the broad scope of her current role – managing four diverse teams of over 30 people.
M Karthik’s career journey started in 2018 as a software engineer. Since joining KONE as a test automation engineer he has now branched out into data science. India KTI is the second biggest R&D site at KONE after Hyvinkää, Finland and is now celebrating its 10th anniversary. In Pune R&D center we are developing core Digital Competency Services.
