KONE's newest elevator subsidiary in Germany, Hopmann, will deliver 21 KONE MonoSpace® elevators to Ewald Hohr Wohnungsbau, an important investor and construction company in Cologne.
The units are to be installed in 16 residential buildings in Cologne.
In a separate transaction, the German railway DB AG has placed an order for eight KONE ECO3000™ heavy duty escalators for its high-speed train station at the Cologne Airport. KONE has previously delivered the escalators for the first two stations serving high-speed trains at the Frankfort and Düsseldorf Airports. KONE will complete the delivery within 2003 and has an option for four additional units to be delivered in 2004.
