KONE Wins Modernization of JCK Federal Building in Chicago, U.S.

The General Services Administration of the United States Government has awarded KONE the contract to modernize 27 Haughton elevators in the John C. Kluczynski Federal Building in Chicago, Illinois.
The nearly 30-year-old Haughton elevators will be given new cars, gearless controls, monitoring system, landing door panels, signalization fixtures, roller-guide assemblies, ropes and a complete A-1 door systems upgrade. In addition, KONE will serve as the prime contractor for HVAC and other work related to the elevator modernization. The contract also includes maintenance of the modernized elevators. Lerch, Bates & Associates served as consultants on the job.
