KONE’s Financial Performance Stronger than Anticipated

KONE’s sales and operating income (EBIT) in January-May 2007 have developed more favorably than anticipated. Also orders growth has continued on a good level.

”Our development programs have progressed well and produced results. Our competitiveness has improved in all continents”, comments Matti Alahuhta, President & CEO of KONE Corporation.

The positive development contributes to the full year 2007 outlook. The previously stated outlook for the financial year 2007 will be upgraded in conjunction with the interim report for the period January-June 2007.

KONE’s interim report for the period January-June 2007 will be published on Friday, 20 July.
