KONE's share capital increases through subscription of shares with 2004 A and B option rights

Based on the KONE 2004 option program, 6,000 new KONE class B shares have been subscribed for with the A option rights and 72,300 new KONE class B shares with the B option rights.

The Finnish Board of Patents and Registration has on 4 May, 2005 entered the corresponding 78,300.00 euro increase of KONE Corporation’s share capital into the Trade Register. Trading of the new shares will start on 6 May, 2005. KONE Board of Directors proposes to the Annual General Meeting convened on 18 May, 2005, that shares subscribed with option rights during 1 April –27 April, 2005 are entitled to dividend from the accounting period 1 January, 2004 – 31 March, 2005. Other rights related to the shares commence on the date when the increase in the share capital is entered in the Trade Register.
The KONE 2004 option rights are listed on the main list of the Helsinki Stock Exchange. Subscription of shares with the A option rights commenced on 1 April, 2004, and to date 218,835 shares have been subscribed. The maximum number of shares that can be subscribed with the 2004 A option rights is 435,390 shares. Subscription of shares with the B option rights commenced on 1 April, 2005 and the maximum number of shares that can be subscribed with the B option rights is 510,000 shares.
KONE’s share capital is 63,754,755.00 euro after the entry, comprising 54,228,666 listed class B shares and 9,526,089 unlisted class A shares.
