Stay on Corporate siteKONE will supply the Delhi Metro Railway Corporation with 64 KONE heavy-duty transit escalators. The contract is the largest single elevator or escalator order ever booked by any company in India.
Deliveries will start later this year, and completion is scheduled for early 2005. KONE has recently completed the supply and installation of 12 (out of 48) KONE MonoSpace® elevators, specially engineered for physically challenged persons, for this same rail line.
KONE has also booked an order for the tallest hotel in South Africa, the 37-story MichelAngelo Towers in Johannesburg. The hotel will be served by five KONE MiniSpace™ units, five KONE MonoSpace® elevators and two KONE ECO3000™ escalators. The project is scheduled for completion by October, 2004.
